Jerem.23.29: Is not my word just as a hammer breaks a stone?

As the battefer hammers the rock breaks:
So Lord your law my heart has broken,
Of which at all cast down towards your grace he aims;
Lord by your goodness, let him not be despised.

Luke 8.15: These are those who, having an honest and good heart, having heard the word, retain it, and bear fruit with patience.

Your seed Lord in the way thrown,
In stones and thorns cannot bear fruit.
But meeting the prepared heart and soul,
The much desired fruit of your goodness produced.

Psa.143.10: Lord deliver me from my enemies: I have hid myself from you.

Of a thousand evils and troubles down there surrounded,
Pursued by the dragon, my heart sighs to you:
Take me back to you: this is what I desire,
To be at rest and crowned donor.

Cant.4.16: Midday wind blows through my garden so that its aromatic drugs distil from it.

Your breath fills me with the fire of ardent love,
Your gracious incense always rejoices me,
I therefore ard, O Lord! But it's your love
I'm very happy about it, but it's your smell.

Job.14.13: Hide me until your wrath is turned away.

Lightnings, storms, dejected misery,
Where will I find rest, where will my retirement be?
To you Benign Lord, who lifts up my head,
Defend me, crowning me with your powerful shield.

Psa.36.10: By your light we see light.

Of darkness, of error, of lying fraud
Everything in the world is full: but Lord your light
Illuminate my heart, so that it does not go astray
Of your happy path of truth, of joy.

Psa.39.4: My heart grew hot within me, and the fire burned in my meditation.

The fire, as stirred by the winds, is not extinguished,
But being renewed greatly increases its strength: so my heart never divorces from you.
The more agitated he is, the more he binds himself to you.

2.Cor.2.15: We are the good smell of Christ to God.

Lord your good hand, my heart of good drugs
Filled abundantly, from which comes the good smell,
Of prayers and sighs, of joy, and of sweetness.
It is you, Benign Lord, who gives us all this.

Phillip.3.13: I forget the things which are behind, reaching forward to those which are before.

In a filthy world, alas, of a thousand dangers I am
By everything surrounded, not far from being surprised:
But to you, O Lord, my heart flies and sighs!
Deliver me from evils and take me away from you.

John 1:5: Light shines in darkness.

Sad and pale death cannot terrify
Anyone who thinks about it often becomes familiar with it:
But with Christ in my heart I can overcome it:
It is he who after death rekindles my light.

Phillip.1.21: Christ is my gain in living and dying.

I no longer fear death: I want to die,
Certain that it does no harm, since Christ is my life.
Death all my labors, and languors will end,
By serving myself to live a great gain will make me.

Hosea 6:1: He has smitten, but he will bind up our wounds.

Lord you have broken me, also with a pitiful hand
You bandaged my wound, and set me straight,
Spreading your oil there O happy medicine!
Of which I am completely remade: being of you bandaged.

Psa.42.8: One deep calls to the other deep with the sound of your channels.

The waves and the winds my poor ship fight,
Horrible whirlwinds incessantly beat her:
But all these great efforts are not to push it down
However, in Jesus my heart can hope.

Gal.2.19: I am crucified with Christ: but Christ lives in me.

In the world I live well: but my life I elevate
In heaven where my Leader lives. My heart is no longer watered,
From these fleeting pleasures, from which he tore himself away,
And to the cross of Christ constantly attached.

Gal.6.9: While we have time, let us do well to all.

Short is the fleeting time, and the hours fly away,
And we run after it. We must therefore not let
However we have time, just one moment to pass
Without showing our benefits to those who are angry with us.

Psa.62.11: When riches abound, do not set your heart on it.

Very often riches, honors, greatness,
The simple heart of the misguided man deceives,
But take the key from above and open these errors,
Get rid of them so they don't harm you.

2.Cor.2.16: To these the smell of death unto death, and to these the smell of life unto life.

Hey hard and harsh cross, to the terrible world.
How are you changed to those who your gentleness,
They enjoyed it very well, finding you lovable,
After the death of Christ who took away the bitterness from you?

Rom.7.14: We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am carnal.

Alas just Lord, my heart weighed
With your holy Law, it is too light.
Yet your pity which outstrips my sins
Relieves me and elevates me, to approach heaven.

Rom.6.14: You are not under the Law but under grace.

My heart is too light to be swung
Against the Law of God: But greater counterweight
There is the death of Christ, and his blood on the cross
Spread, whose Law is at the top launched.

Matt.7.24: The prudent man who built his house on a rock.

Torrents of death, and bonds of hell
By all surroundings: assured defense
Of life and salvation, I found the rock:
Christ alone, on whom is my tower built.

Coloss.2.14: Having freely forgiven you all your trespasses, having removed the obligation that was against us.

Lord your holy Law, rigorous exactor,
Seriously accuses me of my past debt. I confess it too. Alas! I am a sinner:
But I see the schedule drawn on the cross.

Cant.2.2: Like the rose between thorns.

Thorns and poignant thistles surrounded
My heart on all sides, does not fear the wound:
But like the rose, retains its vermilion,
Without being in any way surprised by the danger.

Es.44.5: The other will call himself the name of Jacob, and the other will write with his own hand, I am the Lord's.

How will there be death, and terror of hell,
Considering the goodness of God, who death does not desire
Of no sinner: And Christ who takes me from it,
Write my name in the book, and his in my heart?

Isa.48.10: I have chosen you to the crucible of affliction.

As the craftsman experiences in the furnace
Gold and purge to better shape it:
So Lord, my heart you have placed on the embers,
To test it, to world it, and then to crown it.

Isa.44.3: I will pour waters on the thirsty and rivers on the dry land. I will pour out my spirit on your descendants.

Warm sighs and bitter anguish
My perplexed heart began to wither:
But your Spirit, your very clear dews
They refreshed it and made it green again.

Quote of the Day

“Who doth not mollify and harden againe doth erre, therefore make the earth black, and separate her Soule from her, and the water, after that make it white that it may become as a naked Sword and when it growes white, give it to the Covetous fire so long till it growes large, and doth not fly away; Hee that can doe this may well be called happy and exalted in this World, and let him doe it in the love of God and in his feare. Amen.”
